Every year in Beijing in March, China holds its two sessions - the annual political meetings of National People’s Congress(NPC) , China’s highest legislative body, and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China’s advisory body.

 

This year the National People’s Congress (NPC) and China State Agencies will conduct the once in five years election, generating a new slate of state leaders. The third plenary session of  the 19th CPC Center Committee concluded recently, approving new policies to deepen the reform of the Party in state organs. What kind of institutional changes were about to be made? Regarding to the government work report, what a new goal will be set for China’s economic and social development over the next five years. 


Moreover, 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up policy. Standing at a new historical starting point, what will be China’s new roadmap and timetable for reform over the next several decades?
